The basic requirements are that the businesses have Worker's Compensation Insurance, an Oregon Unemployment Insurance number or proof of exemption, and Internal Revenue Services (IRS) identification number. |

WIA, the Workforce Investment Act, is a federally funded program established to increase skills for participation in the labor force by providing job training and other services that will result in increase employment and earnings and increased educational and occupational skills. Work Systems Inc. administers WIA Programs throughout Multnomah and Washington Counties contracting with Portland Community College Workforce Network. The Workforce Development Program offers training and services to individuals who need to prepare for entry, upgrade or reentry into the work force. |
